Fall Blooming Perennials
Don't Stop the Petal Party!
Many think the perennial flower show is over once Fall sets in, but that's when these incredible plants start blooming up a storm! Fall blooming perennials offer a colorful payoff after months of patience, providing late-season pollinators the chance to feast away before Winter creeps up.
Most Fall blooming perennials feature blooms in yellow, red, orange, purple, white or sometimes even blue. These colors create an absolute spectacle against the changing tones of deciduous trees, spreading the magic from the branches down to the ground for a complete Fall symphony.
Asters are a classic Fall all-star, with plenty of its near endless species blooming exclusively in the Fall. In fact, Chrysanthemums are a type of Aster, as is our native perennial Ironweed! Another Fall floral celebrity is Goldenrod, which, contrary to popular misunderstanding, causes absolutely no allergies and has numerous species, each with their own characteristics and growing preferences.
Having Fall blooming perennials in the garden is the best way to keep the growing season going as long as possible, and you won't find a better selection anywhere but Bountiful Gardens!
