Characteristics: This flowering, deciduous tree is well known for its profuse Spring bloom. It is highly adaptable to a wide range of soils and is easy to grow. Pruning is not required, however if the grower should choose to do so, best results are achieved when pruned in late Winter. Additionally, 'Candymint' generally has good disease resistance. This small tree makes an excellent lawn specimen, and is also effective in group plantings, in borders, as screens or along a fence.
