Nectarine Tree 'Redgold'
This easy-to-grow, heat-tolerant, self-pollinating variety produces high-quality fruit that's great for fresh eating, cooking/baking and canning. 'Redgold' produces nectarines that are ready to harvest by early August, and the tree itself is rather Winter hardy. Because 'Redgold' is a compact tree, it's great for most locations, particularly landscapes with limited space-- therefore this nectarine variety can fit in tight spaces close to the home and driveway without taking it over. Additionally, this variety can be used as a shade tree, accent or landscape specimen in that every Spring, vibrant pink blooms emerge before the fruit.
