What makes this tree so intriguing is the salmon-pink to reddish-brown bark that exfoliates itself, revealing a lighter colored inner bark! This vigorous, fast-growing deciduous tree can be trained as either a single-trunk or multi-trunk tree during cultivation. Its leathery, diamond-shaped dark green leaves turn yellow in the fall.
